BOEM California Intergovernmental
Renewable Energy Task Force Meeting
9:00 am - 5:00 pm (pacific time)
Public comment immediately after the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the next steps in the BOEM leasing process for establishing ‘Wind Energy Areas’ off California’s north and central coasts.
BOEM, in partnership with California, previously announced that they would hold a task force meeting on June 24, 2021, to discuss the identified areas off the north and central coasts and outline next steps in the BOEM leasing process. Due to scheduling conflicts with the Pacific Fishery Management Council meeting, BOEM and California have rescheduled the meeting to July 13, 2021.
Additional webinar details, including an agenda, will be available on BOEM's California activities page at https://www.boem.gov/California/.
As a reminder, this task force is an intergovernmental group. Task force members include representatives from federal, tribal, state, and local governments. Members of the public are invited to attend. There will be an opportunity for public input.
