Deep Penetration Seismic Survey Permits Issued During the Settlement Agreement
Pursuant to Section VII of the June 25, 2013 Settlement Agreement between the Department of Interior, et al, and the Natural Resources Defense Council Inc., et al, BOEM makes non-proprietary information regarding Deep Penetration Seismic Survey permits available to the public on its website, including all applications, permits, associated NEPA documents, and any bi-weekly reports.
Using the query links provided below, GOM Deep Penetration Seismic G&G applications, permits, permit modifications, bi-weekly reports, buffer zone violations (Incidence of Non-Compliance), and the Site Specific Environmental Analyses written for these permits may be viewed and downloaded. The public information portion of the application and the public information version of the survey map are provided as well. Please note this map may show only the general location of the survey and may not represent the actual areal size or linear acquisition orientation of the proposed survey. The permits and permit modifications include the accompanying cover letter which lists the permit specific environmental mitigations. These mitigations are conditions of the permit and or modification issued. All bi-weekly reports, whether the permit holder is actively acquiring seismic data or not, are also included.
