On behalf of BOEM, I applaud Governor Cuomo and State of New York for their leadership and strong commitment to the development of renewable energy resources. BOEM will do its part to help New York achieve its renewable energy goal by fostering responsible wind energy planning efforts offshore New York, and we will work closely with the State and the New York Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force to keep stakeholders and the public engaged as we move forward together to achieve a sustainable energy future.
