WASHINGTON - The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is excited to return to the USA Science and Engineering Festival on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17, 2016, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. BOEM’s booth, #3222, will be located in the Earth Sciences Pavilion. The festival is free and open to the public.
BOEM will debut a new electronic version of its “Energize Your Mind with Ocean Science” game and offer other hands-on activities including exhibits on geology, offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, and environmental science. Students, parents, teachers, and others will have the chance to hold million-year old rock samples, witness the potential of wind energy, and test their knowledge of the sciences BOEM uses every day.
