The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) will hold the 10th meeting of the BOEM Standing Committee on Offshore Science and Assessment on June 26 and 27. This will be their first virtual meeting, with all presentations made by video-conference. Observers may watch the presentations online or listen by phone. Information on how to watch is listed below. The draft agenda is posted to the NASEM website.
Topics will include a discussion of long-term goals for BOEM’s Office of Environmental Programs and proposed environmental studies listed in the Study Development Plan for 2020-2022.
Presentations from previous meetings are available on the NASEM website. The committee encompasses a broad range of expertise in both natural and social sciences, relevant disciplines within those broad areas, and collective expertise from academia, industry, government, and the non- profit world in all four Outer Continental Shelf regions.
