On January 17, 2017, the Department of Interior (DOI) announced our nation's seventh offshore wind auction.
The auction will commence tomorrow (March 16, 2017) at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. It will offer about 122,405 acres offshore North Carolina for commercial wind energy leasing.
To check the status of the auction, go to BOEM's website by clicking here. The website will be updated throughout the day until the provisional winners have been identified.
Once the provisional winners have been identified, an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
