The purpose of the Task Force meeting is to provide an overview of renewable energy planning efforts offshore North Carolina to new and existing Task Force members, update the Task Force on the recently completed environmental assessment, and discuss the next steps in the renewable energy leasing process.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 AM (registration at 9:00 AM) and end around 4:00 PM. Participation during the meeting will be limited to Task Force members only. A public question and answer session will be held upon its conclusion. An agenda for this meeting can be found here.
Please note: the BOEM North Carolina Renewable Energy Task Force is an intergovernmental group. Task Force members include Federal officials and elected state, local, and tribal officials, or designated member representatives.

The meeting will begin at 3:00 PM, and BOEM will provide information on wind energy planning efforts offshore North Carolina. This will include information on the BOEM wind energy leasing process, a history of BOEM planning efforts offshore North Carolina, and results of the recently completed environmental assessment. BOEM will also engage with local stakeholders to discuss issues of importance to their community.
