On December 7, 2018, BOEM published a Notice of Availability (NOA) for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Construction and Operations Plan (COP) submitted by Vineyard Wind.
As many of you are aware, annual funding for the government expired on December 21, 2018. A lapse in funding meant that a number of government activities were postponed including five scheduled public hearings on the Vineyard Wind Draft EIS.
As a result, BOEM has rescheduled the public hearings and reopened the public comment period for the Vineyard Wind Draft EIS. Comments should be submitted no later than February 22, 2019. BOEM’s rescheduled public hearings will be held at the following locations:
