Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the California Energy Commission (CEC) convened a Task Force webinar on July 13, 2021.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Provide an update by BOEM and other Task Force members on activities relevant to offshore wind, and
- Discuss the next steps in the BOEM leasing process for establishing ‘Wind Energy Areas’ off California’s north and central coasts.

Interested individuals will be provided an opportunity and are encouraged to provide input on the topics being considered and discussed by the Task Force. Participants may provide input via the webinar chat box or verbally by clicking the “raise hand” icon to enter the queue. Public input submitted through the chat box will be read aloud by the facilitator. Those who wish to provide verbal input will be given a 1-3-minute time amount depending on the number of anticipated speakers. The queue of comments and questions will be moderated by the facilitator. |
