On July 30, 2021, BOEM hosted a webinar for prospective bidders and the public to provide information related to a proposed lease sale for offshore wind development in federal waters in the New York Bight.
The webinar explained the auction rules and demonstrated the auction process through meaningful examples. It also provided an overview of BOEM’s renewable energy leasing process, how the proposed lease areas were chosen, and new lease stipulations that BOEM is considering for the proposed New York Bight auction.
