BOEM convened the Central Atlantic Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force on September 10th and 11th, 2024 to discuss the Central Atlantic 2 Call for Information and Nominations, the first step of a multi-year process ahead of a possible second Central Atlantic lease auction. The meeting was held virtually via Zoom. The Central Atlantic Task Force is composed of Federal, Tribal, state and local government officials from North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. It is tasked with facilitating the coordination of renewable energy planning activities on the Outer Continental Shelf in the Central Atlantic region. It serves as a forum to discuss issues and concerns; exchange data and information about ocean resources and uses; and facilitate early and continual dialogue and collaboration opportunities.
