The second BOEM/Hawai'i Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force meeting was held on December 5, 2012, in Honolulu, Hawai'i. During the meeting, BOEM and DBEDT provided updates on renewable energy activities, the Department of Defense (DoD) described its process for assessing OCS areas for compatibility of renewable energy activities and military operations, and participants discussed information pertinent to a possible interisland power transmission cable and any associated data gaps.
